A wonderful project done with the students of Le Chêne Bleu high school in Pincourt.
The theme: multiculturalism. The three panels are representing the different cultures in the school. The portraits where created from the photographs of 4 students. The central panel represents the first arrivals. Peace-Fraternity-love and harmony are the 4 words written in different languages.
All the lettering, the feathers and the circles are the creation of the students. They also helped in the painting and the collage of the background of the panels.
Those panels will be displayed at the Pincourt Library ( in the Chêne Bleu high school) until the 1st of June. Then, they will be installed in the Omnicentre of the City of Pincourt.
Thank you, Céline.

Women’s Art Society exhibition

The Women’s Art Society of Montreal will hold their annual show at the end of May. Two AHA members, Susan Porter and Heather Dubreuil, have had work accepted into this juried exhibition.
The venue is in a beautiful building with great historical significance: the former home of the Grey Nuns, now owned by Concordia University. Not sure how much access the public will have to the building but the library, located in a former chapel and usually available only to registered students, is supposed to be a marvel.
