Several AHA members are part of an upcoming show at the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges from November 9, 2019 – January 22, 2020.  Twelve artists have come together to celebrate the life, poetry and music of Leonard Cohen. They will engage you with their work in  painting, sculpture, collage and fibre.
All AHA members are invited to the vernissage on Sunday, November 10, from 2 – 4 pm.

Shame and Prejudice: A Story of Resilience is a celebration of Indigenous resilience. The exhibition uses humour and critical insight to create a troubling retrospective of what Monkman refers to as “the most devastating period for First Peoples.”

There is a call from the Rigaud public library for artists wishing to exhibit from September 19 to November 6, 2016, in the multi-purpose room of the library. There is no fee, and artists may hold a vernissage at their own cost. Rigaud will publicize the exhibit in their newsletter.

Anne-Marie Fournier, library coordinator,( 450-451-0869 poste 261) says there are openings on the 2017 calendar as well.

La bibliothèque municipale de Rigaud est à la recherche d’un artiste qui aimerait exposer ses œuvres (toiles ou photographies) du 19 septembre au 6 novembre 2016 dans la salle d’exposition (salle polyvalente) de la bibliothèque. L’exposition est entièrement gratuite et sans aucuns frais ou coût. Possibilité de vernissage (à vos frais), publicité dans le bulletin municipal, sur la page web de la ville de Rigaud et sur la page Facebook de la bibliothèque (gratuit).

Note the name on top of the waterfall! (in case you can’t see it in the photo, the sign above the waterfall reads D.J.Harvey (pond architect) and the beautiful painting was donated by Judith Harvey!)

… Gisèle-Lapalme à la bibliothèque municipale de Saint-Lazare.

Jeudi le 2 juin,19h00 marque le début de l’exposition des élèves de Gisèle-Lapalme (du nom de l’aquarelliste renommée) à la bibliothèque municipale de Saint-Lazare. Cette exposition, qui durera jusqu’au 26 juin, est l’occasion de donner aux artistes locaux une plus grande visibilité.

Ici, 12 élèves de l’école Gisèle-Lapalme ainsi que le professeur voient leurs aquarelles, huiles et autres toiles, accrochées aux murs de la bibliothèque.

On peut admirer ces talents émergents en suivant les horaires d’ouverture de la bibliothèque municipale.
